RPF Nagpur helps woman get back her valuables

The Railway Protection Force's Nagpur Division of Central Railway ensured a woman got back her trolley bag in which valuables worth Rs. 10.25 lakh were kept.

The lady, Radha Krushnammachary, was travelling by train no.12433 Rajdhani Express, from Chennai to Nagpur and got down at Nagpur Railway Station.

She hired an auto-rickshaw and on reaching home, she realised that her bag containing jewelleries worth Rs. 10.25 lakh was left in auto-rickshaw.

"After realising carelessness the woman had rushed back to Nagpur railway station and approach on duty RPF staff," CR officials said.

Immediately, the RPF staff looked and searched CCTV footages the auto-rickshaw driver who carried the passenger was spotted.

"He was called on mobile and asked about the bag. The auto driver searched and found the bag kept behind seat safely.

The auto driver attended RPF post-Nagpur with the bag was opened by RPF staff before two witnesses.

The Inventory found jewelleries (a small baby gold chain, a gold necklace, 2 big and 2 small gold necklace, 1 pair gold ear tops, 2 pair gold bangles total weighing 330 grams valued Rs.10.23 lakh and artificial jewelleries of Rs.2,000) of total Rs.10.25 lakh .

Senior Divisional Security Commissioner Jyoti Kumar Satija handed over the bag with jewelleries to the lady passenger and appreciated the honesty of auto driver.

The lady passenger praised the RPF for immediate action and saving her valuable providing timely help as well as thanked to auto driver and left RPF Post Nagpur with tears of thanks.
