Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day within five minutes of its convening on Monday as AIADMK and DMK protested on Cauvery while Congress raised the issue of Supreme Court verdict on Rafale scam.
As soon as official documents were tabled in the House and Naidu announced his decisions on notices, AIADMK and DMK MPs rushed to the Well of the House demanding protection of farmers in Cauvery Delta.
Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad was also on his feet claiming that the Government misled the Supreme Court on Rafale. "This government has misled the Supreme Court," Azad said amid din. He also said the Congress has moved a privilege notice on the issue.
As sloganeering continued, Naidu adjourned the House saying this cannot be allowed.
