The Supreme Court will on February 26 consider a couple of petitions seeking review of the Rafale judgement of December 14, 2018.

A bench of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and K M Joseph would take up in chambers two separate review petitions filed by former Union ministers Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie and advocate Prashant Bhushan and AAP MP Sanjay Singh.

The top court had on December 14, 2018 dismissed a batch of petitions for a probe into the 2016 deal to buy Rafale fighter jets from France.

The judgement was passed by a bench of CJI and Justices Kaul and Joseph.

According to the Supreme Court rules, review petitions are taken up by the same combination of judges in chambers through circulations of papers sans counsel.

The court had on Thursday indicated it would soon decide listing of Rafale review petitions.

Notably, the Union government has also filed an application for correction of the judgement.

Besides review petition, advocate Bhushan also filed a plea seeking perjury action against the senior officers of the Union government for "misleading" the court on CAG report.
