Sunny Leone's statement recorded in cheating complaint

Kerala based programme coordinator alleging that Leone cheated him by cancelling a programme after collecting advance remuneration

The Crime Branch unit of Kerala Police recorded the statement of Bollywood actress Sunny Leone in a petition filed by a Kerala based event management company alleging that Leone cheated him by cancelling Valentine's Day function after collecting advance remuneration of around Rs 29 lakh

According to sources, Leone maintained that the organisers changed the programmes schedule at least five times over the last two years. It was learnt that she also said she was still willing to participate in the event. But the complainant alleged that Leone changed the schedule and he suffered huge losses.

Crime Branch would be taking further actions after verifying the statements, said sources.

"A case of cheating under Section 420 of IPC has been registered against the actor based on a complaint and we are yet to verify facts," police sources told PTI.
