Tiger cubs killed on railway tracks

In a shocking incident, two tiger cubs were found dead on the railway tracks after being hit by a train in the Chandrapur district of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. 

The two cubs are expected to be aged between six to seven months and are believed to be hit by a running train while they were crossing the tracks. 

The incident took place on the Balharshah-Gondia route near Junona village between Chandrapur and Nagbhid stations, according to officials of the state-run Forest Development Corporation of Maharashtra.

The carcases are being sent for post-mortem.
