Within hours after BJP president Amit Shah levelled allegations against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday, the TMC sent him a legal notice.
“Shah has made baseless allegations with the intention of maligning our chief minister and party chairperson. He has to either prove his claims or withdraw them in public. Otherwise, we will take appropriate legal action against him,” said TMC leader and Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya.
Shah had said that owners of chit funds involved in scams bought Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s paintings.
