Trinamool leader shot dead in Burdwan

Around 200 CPI(M) activists swooped down on Mallikpur village in Mangalkote area and gunned down Hasmoth Sheikh in front of his mother, police said.
One of his relatives, Sheikh Sukur, was also injured is being treated at the Burdwan Medical College and Hospital.

Local party leaders have alleged that CPI(M) leader W Ansari, who has been charged in many cases by the police earlier, is behind the killing. Denying the charges, CPI(M) leaders attributed the incident to internal party clashes.
