Two die during dahi handi celebrations

At least two people were killed and over 100 injured in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) on Monday during the dahi handi celebrations coinciding with Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna. 

At least two youths, including 20-year old Kush Khandare, died during a dahi handi-related incident in Sion, while one boy drowned in Bhayander in Thane district.

Another boy was reported missing from Versova beach in Mumbai.
