Vizag gas leak live updates: Villagers protest outside LG Polymers; company assures locals of safety

11 people have been killed and several hundred hospitalised after a gas leak at a chemicals plant, LG Polymers, on the east coast of India took place on Thursday. The plant operated by LG Polymers is located in the outskirts of Visakhapatnam, an industrial port city in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Situation 'normal' in gas leak village: Andhra govt

The Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday said the situation was "normal" in RR Venkatapuram village, where a styrene vapour leak from the LG Polymers plant claimed 12 lives and left over 300 people hospitalized with various ailments.
