Fataki and surrounding villages have been targeted by recurring armed attacks by militiamen that have driven tens of thousands of people from their villages. Jaswant Singh, from Rajasthan, served as India's foreign minister, defense minister and finance minister. He was also an officer in the Indian Army and one of the founding members of the BJP.
