The International Space Station is, without question, one of the most amazing feats of human engineering. In orbit for over 22 years, the ISS has served many roles, from being a space laboratory to testing centre for equipment for future missions to the Moon and beyond.
But like most technology, it too, requires routine maintenance to run at its best possible performance. And for that, many times, astronauts aboard the ISS need to step out into the void of space to do it themselves.
NASA has shared one such video of an astronaut stepping out of the ISS to join another spaceman on the job.
The minute-long video features Mike Hopkins in an unmarked suit, joining Victor Glover for their second spacewalk together.
Caught in action! Check out @Astro_illini leaving or “egressing” the @Space_Station. Already outside the hatch, he is joining @AstroVicGlover for the duo’s second spacewalk together.

The duo went for the spacewalk to vent and relocate the ISS' ammonia hoses, replace an antenna for helmet cameras, reroute ethernet cables, tighten connections on a European experiment platform, and install a metal ring on the hatch thermal cover.
