<p>Bengaluru: FC <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/bengaluru">Bengaluru </a>United and Sporting Club Bengaluru couldn't break the deadlock and settled for a point each in the first and only Derby match of the ongoing I-League 2 season Padukone-Dravid Centre of Excellence here on Thursday.</p>.<p>SCB, who came into the game at the back of a 3-3 draw against GMSC, had their struggles too as they could start the match with only four players on the bench. Turns out, three of their new signings, including a player from <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/isl">ISL </a>club Mohammedan SC, were cleared too late to join the squad.</p>.SC Bengaluru held 3-3 after blowing two-goal lead in I-League 2 opener.<p>"We were expecting clearance for three of our new players to get clearance to join the club in time for the Derby but league officials took almost three days to response, leaving us no choice to have just four players on the bench," said an SCB official.</p>.<p>This affected the quality of the match as the first 40 minutes lacked any clear cut chances. Any real action had to wait towards the end of the half when both city rivals had chances to score from set pieces late in the half, including an Olimpico attempt by FCBU's Allen Lyngdoh in the injury time as his left-footed corner kick skimmed the far post as the closest chance.</p>.<p>The second half, however, saw FCBU take control of the game and started asking qurstions off their rivals' defense with Lijo K prominet on the left flank.</p>.<p>FCBU, however, failed to make the openings created count before flurry of changes on either sides impacted the intensity of the match.</p>.<p>SCB had two late chances through last-match goalscorer Asif OM but both went begging.</p>.<p>With back-to-back draws SC Bengaluru are now third on the points table with two points in two matches while FCBU played their opening match of the season and are among the bottom three with a point. </p>.<p>Bengaluru United will play host to Kolkata's United SC in their next match at the same venue on April 8 while SCB will wait till April 14 to host the Kolkata club at HAL Stadium, as per AIFF schedule.</p>.<p>In another match on the day, Himansu Jangra's first-half brace (6th, 15th minute) helped Delhi FC defeat Assam's Karbi Anglong Morning Star 2-1 to go top of the table.</p>.<p><strong>Results:</strong> FC Bengaluru United:0 drew with Sporting Club Bengaluru: 0; Delhi FC: 2 (Himansu Jangra 6th, 15th) bt Karbi Anglong Morning Star: 1 (Khupminlun 75th). </p>
