KKR wants to end IPL 6 on a high, says Bayliss

Curtains might have already fallen on Kolkata Knight Riders' title defence campaign in the IPL 6, but the Gautam Gambhir-led side would like to finish the tournament on a high when they play Sunrisers Hyderabad here tomorrow, said the team's coach Trevor Bayliss.

"It is a must-win game for us because we would like to finish with a win. We did not play the way we played last year. We would like to finish off on a positive note," Bayllis told reporters here today.

Asked if KKR has any special plans to take on Sunrisers who have done extremely well at home, Bayliss expressed confidence that his side can make things difficult for any team if it comes up with a competitive performance.

"I think early in this season, the batting held us back. We did not score enough runs at the top and also the guys in the middle of the order did not score runs as we would have liked. It was inconsistency. We bowled well early in the tournament and we have not bowled as well in the second half," he said.

KKR's title defence came to an end after the team lost to Pune Warriors by seven runs on May 16. KKR have 12 points from 15 matches.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad, which defeated Rajasthan Royals yesterday, had an optional practice session today.
