JOIN USMysore registered a 4-1 victory over Hassan to clinch the 2nd inter-district men’s hockey title on Thursday.
Somanna CK (35th,) Somanna KM (41st), Poonacha (47th) and Umesh KR (57th) scored a goal apiece for Mysore while Shesha Gowda (50th) struck a consolation goal for Hassan.
In the semifinals, Mysore edged past Coorg 3-2 with goals from Somanna KM (5th, 37th) and Poonacha (58th) doing the trick. Aiyappa PR (13th) and Darshan DS (29th) were the goalscorers for Coorg.
Hassan blanked Bellary 3-0 in the second semifinal with Kusha JP’s (53rd, 60th) brace and Nagalinga Swamy (7th) helping their cause.
