Nikin, Nandan star in Mysore victory

SJ Nikin Jose and Nandan KB displayed superb performances with bat and ball respectively to power Mysore Zone to a convincing 55-run victory over Tumkur Zone in the KSCA under-19 inter-mofussil tournament here.

Batting first, Mysore rode on a patient 120 off 155 balls from Nikin to post 237/6 in 50 overs. Gowtham Sagar (64) provided able support to Nikin, whose knok was laced with 15 fours.

Having to chase a modest total, Tumkur were blown away by Nandan, who picked up seven for 39. Tumkur’s Shreyas KB (65), Sanjay VN (45) and Nirmith KS (35) offered resistance but it wasn’t enough as Mysore romped home.
