RCB fans pour onto the streets, flood social media after IPL victory

Videos on X show the RCB fans throughout India wear the team's jerseys, wave flags, hug, dance, shout slogans and recording videos on phones.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets with a score of 161/5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad (May 31). For RCB, Virat Kohli top-scored with an unbeaten run of 75. While, Rashid Khan was the key bowler for GT, by taking 2 wickets for 25 runs.

Videos on X show RCB fans' celebrating across India. They were wearing the team's jerseys, waving flags, and shouting slogans.

Fireworks lit up the sky in several places as people celebrated. Hashtags like #EeSalaCupNAmde #RCBchampion #ViratKohli were seen trending on X.

However, due to crowding and traffic congestion, police resorted to lathi charge. Despite this, the overly excited fans vandalized property, destroyed barricades, climbed onto cars.

The officials turned down the victory parade of RCB, considering the safety concerns post the RCB stampede that occurred on June 4, 2025, when lakhs of fans gathered from Vidhan Soudha to Chinnaswamy Stadium to celebrate RCB's first IPL trophy.
