Saketh knocks out Migin in quarters

Unseeded Saketh Upadhya of Vidya Niketan School created an upset, beating seventh seed Migil Yogananda of Prarthana School 21-5, 16-21, 21-9 to advance to the semifinals in the boys’ under-16 category of the 12th Ramesh Padukone-Mehul Sirur Memorial inter-school badminton tournament here on Wednesday.

Meanwhile in the girls’ U-16 section, top seed Trisha Hegde of Sishu Griha Montessori and High School overwhelmed Samhitha N of Sri Kumaran Children Home 21-4, 21-7 to reach the semis.
