Chief Minister Siddaramaiah chaired the first meeting here on Wednesday, where several decisions regarding the event were taken.

Hassan district-in-charge minister A Manju later told the media that Siddaramaiah had approved the budget of Rs 575 crore, which will be shared by both the state and central governments. The Railways will be asked to expedite work on the Bengaluru-Hassan line, and operate special trains during the event. Manju said that it was decided to inaugurate the proposed Prakrit university at the time.
