1,000 lts of liquor seized

The police, on Thursday, seized 1,000 litres of liquor which was being transported illegally to the district from Telangana through a water tanker.

The police team, led by Iada Martin Marbaniang, waylaid the tanker following a tip-off and seized the liquor.

The liquor is said to be worth Rs 6 lakh, excise inspector Prakash said. A case has been registered at the rural police station.
