Sanganna, who had been elected on JDS ticket in 2008 assembly polls from Koppal, resigned his seat and joined BJP in March, necessitating the bye-election.
Pradeep Patil (JDS) and Basvaraj Itnal (Cong) also filed their nominations today, the last day of filing nomination papers.
The scrutiny of nominations will be taken up on September 11 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is Septemebr 12.
