62 take ill near Koppal

Doctors at the district hospital said that drinking contaminated water may have led to the problem.

They made it clear that there was no shortage of medicines to treat the patients.

Six people each in Paltangalli, Devaraj Urs Colony, Gowri Angala and two each in Tegginakeri, Hatagarapete, Diddikeri, Vikasnagar and Railway Station Road have been affected and admitted to the hospital.

As many 10 people from Bhagyanagar, three from Bannikoppa and two each from Muddaballi and Handrala villages have also been admitted to the hospital with complaints of vomiting and dysentery. Many of the patients were treated after making them lie on the ground as there were no enough cots.
