7 Cong candidates file complaint against EVMs

All the seven Congress candidates who lost the elections in Dakshina Kannada district have filed objections with the respective Returning Officers suspecting the authenticity of electronic voting machines (EVMs).

All the seven Congress candidates who lost the elections in Dakshina Kannada district have filed objections with the respective Returning Officers suspecting the authenticity of electronic voting machines (EVMs).

They said that they will file a detailed objection to the deputy commissioner either later in the day or tomorrow (Wednesday).

The seven Congress candidates who have filed the objections include: J R Lobo (Mangaluru South), Mohiuddin Bava (Mangaluru North), B Ramanath Rai (Bantwal), T Shakunthala Shetty (Puttur), K Abhaychandra Jain (Moodbidri), Vasanth Bangera (Belthangady) and Dr B Raghu (Sullia).
