Seven units of the Raichur Thermal Power Station resumed generation of electricity on Wednesday, reports DHNS from Raichur.
Power production restarted in units 2,3,4,5,6 and 7 of capacity 210 MW each, besides unit 8 of 250 MW. Officials said the seven units would have a total output of 1,300 MW.
The units had been shut down for the past three months. The present coal storeage in the plant is four lakh tonnes, the officials added.
