Twelve persons have died due to Influenza A (H1N1) in the state and about 770 persons have tested positive for the flu, reports DHNS from Bengaluru. Among the positive cases, BBMP area reported about 144 cases from January till now.
Shivamogga has reported 71 positive cases followed by 75 in Bengaluru Urban, Udupi and Dakshina Kannda reporting 48 and 45 cases respectively.
The state health and family welfare department has intensified the surveillance and has advised people having symptoms of the flu to undergo thorough screening and treatment if necessary.
