AAP activists are real patriots: Yadav

Aam Aadmi Party national spokesperson Yogendra Yadav participated in a roadshow in Shimoga, Thirthahalli and Sagar, and campaigned for the party candidate K G Sreedhar on Tuesday.

Addressing a gathering in Sagar, Yadav said AAP had neither wealthy people nor those who create dissidence within the party for personal gains. It has people who are committed to eradicating corruption from society. So, the activists of AAP are the real patriots.

He said Shimoga was the birthplace of several movements. Farmers had launched a movement in this place. So, it’s historically a highly significant constituency. This is the right time for people to decide whether they want the ideology-based politics initiated by the late socialist leader Shantaveri Gopal Gowda, or the corruption-oriented politics of B S Yeddyurappa.

AAP candidate Sreedhar said, “On the one hand, we have people seeking votes on the basis of caste, money power and anti-environment development. On the other, we have AAP, which is committed to implementing development works without harming environment. It’s left to the voters to decide which is good for the future.”

Farmers’ leader Kadidal Shamanna said farmers were extending their support to AAP in the current Lok Sabha polls.
