AAP chief continues diatribe against media

Unfazed by criticism by media houses about his statements against a section of the media, Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal insisted on Saturday that no media house was ready to portray the ‘truth’ about Narendra Modi’s Gujarat.

Terming Modi, sarcastically, as ‘Vikaspurush’, the AAP leader said, “Is it not true that 60,000 small industries closed during Modi’s regime? Is it not true that 800 farmers committed suicide under Modi’s regime? Would the media now have the courage to tell the truth about Gujarat?”

He attacked certain sections of the media, saying that his statements on Friday pertained only to them and were not generalised.

“There is a publicity drive for Modi, that he is a saviour of farmers. I have seen the reality myself. Modi is no saviour of the farmers. I ask the media to report the truth,” he said.
When questioned which media houses were being paid for covering Modi in a ‘positive light’, Kejriwal refused to respond.
