Amit Shah's Belagavi tour tentatively rescheduled

BJP National President Amit Shah's visit to Belagavi and Bagalkot districts has been tentatively rescheduled for April 12 and 13.

But Shah's participation in the backward classes convention slated for April 3, at 5 pm, at Kaginele in Haveri district, is confirmed as scheduled.

BJP Belagavi unit in-charge Iranna Kadadi told reporters here on Monday, that Shah's visit has been postponed as his presence is needed in the Parliament on Monday.

As the programme at Kaginele is in the evening, it will be held as per schedule and Shah will attend. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will also attend this rally.

During Shah's rescheduled program, all individual events will be held as planned and there are no changes in them.

Shah will visit Kittur and Nandgad to pay respects to freedom fighters Rani Channamma and Sangolli Rayanna.

He will address a students' convention at Belagavi and women's convention at Nippani. He will participate in a roadshow in Gokak and meet Jain community leaders on Thursday.

He will proceed towards Bagalkot on Friday, Kadadi said.
