The police raided the house of Shantavva Siddanagoudar near Krishna Talkies and recovered the valuable holy text, when the arrested were trying to sell it off.
The 602-page Quran in Arabic, weighs 10 kg and is said to be valued at more than Rs one crore.
Judicial custody
All the six arrested - Sharad Ramachandra Kulkarni, Shivarajappa Shidliganppa Goudar, Mallappa Rayappa Gudadari, Basappa Hanumanthappa Pujar, Iraiah Gangyakerimani and Jagadish Andaiah Hiremath - have been remanded to judicial custody.
