Additional Deputy Commissioner G S Nayak said that during the demolition of the Sunkalamma Temple in Bagepalli, the duo didn’t provide earth movers and obstructed government work. The warrant has been issued for working against the government. He told Deccan Herald that police had been directed to arrest the duo and produce before him (Nayak) on or before October 25.
Nayak said that the earth movers belonging to CMC had been seized and a criminal case under CrPC had been registered against Lokesh and Rafiq. Strict action will be taken against the duo after the investigation, he added.
The administration is also contemplating on disqualifying the membership of Lokesh Kumar and Rafiq from the CMC. An appropriate decision will be taken in this regard, he added.
