B S Yeddyurappa files nomination in Shikaripura

BJP's chief ministerial candidate B S Yeddyurappa filed his nomination papers for Shikaripura Assembly constituency at 1.25 pm on Thursday. He handed over his nomination to the returning officer of Shikaripura taluk.

He was accompanied by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, Union Minister Anant Kumar, MLA B Y Raghavendra. Earlier, Yeddyurappa performed 'puja' at Huchurayaswamy Temple in the town.

Later, he went to the weekly marketplace and participated in a public meeting. He was taken in a procession and he sought the support of the voters of Shikaripura constituency. BJP candidate for Molakalmuru B Sriramulu and thousands of party workers participated in the procession.
