Belamgi to contest as JD(S) nominee

Former minister Revu Naik Belamgi joined JD(S) on Sunday after BJP denied him ticket to contest from Gulbarga Rural constituency. He will file the nomination from the same segment as JD(S) candidate.

“I have joined the JD(S) and Deve Gowda has given me a warm welcome to the party. I will file nomination as JD(S) candidate for Gulbarga Rural constituency on April 24,” he told DH. Earlier, Belamgi met Deve Gowda at the latter’s residence in Bengaluru and obtained ‘B’ form.
