The state BJP on Tuesday officially launched its crowd-sourcing initiative “Bharat Ke Mann Ki Baat, Modi Ke Saath,” seeking feedback and suggestions from voters for its election manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls.

State BJP President B S Yeddyurappa, who launched the month-long initiative, termed the exercise an example of a “participative democracy”.

Specially designed vehicles with suggestion boxes will criss-cross the state to gather inputs from voters. Yeddyurappa said the manifesto will focus primarily on 12 areas, including farmers, youth, women empowerment, inclusive growth, national security, cultural heritage and working class.

A total of 14 vehicles, one for two Lok Sabha constituencies, will be deployed.
