Bridge collapses in Raichur yet again

The main bridge connecting the two places had also washed away in the 2009 floods that ravaged Raichur. Since then the district administration has spent crores of rupees on building a temporary bridge. Water level in the river rose, as the Tunga Bhadra river region received heavy rain, creating fear of bridge collapse among the people on Saturday. The bridge gave away on Sunday. Devotees, who will be attending Raghavendra Swamy aradhane from August 12 to 18 will be inconvenienced because of the bridge collapse. Devotees from Raichur will now have to solely be dependent on the railways.
