JD(S) chief H D Deve Gowda released the first installment of evidence at a public function. Documents and information pertaining to ten instances of illegal denotification and allotment of Government land by Yeddyurappa in favour of his kins were released.

In installments

The JD(S) has decided to bring out such “chargesheets” in many installments. A copy of the “chargesheet” will also be provided to the BJP national leaders. Gowda met Governor H R Bhardwaj at Raj Bhavan later in the day and submitted a copy of the chargesheet to him.

Later speaking to reporters, Gowda alleged the State had witnessed scams running to the tune of Rs one lakh crore during the Yeddyurappa regime in the last two-and-half years. “Scams in Karnataka are bigger than the 2 G spectrum scam and Yeddyurappa is the most corrupt Chief Minister in the country,” he alleged.

He hit out at the BJP for stalling parliament over the demand for a JPC probe into the 2 G spectrum scam and alleged that the party is deliberately avoiding Karnataka in its anti-corruption agitation.

“The BJP chose to hold its rallies in several parts of the country, including Mumbai and Bhubaneshwar, but not in Karnataka,” he stated and demanded a clarification from senior leader L K Advani in this regard.
