Cine star Sudeep will lead the Dancers’ team, actor Upendra will lead the Editors’ team, the Directors’ team will be lead by V Ravichandran, film director Indrajit Lankesh will lead the Cameramen’s team, the Producers’ team will be led by Shivarajkumar, Thriller Manju will lead the Action Heroes’ team, Minister Sriramulu will lead the MLAs’ team and the Press team will be lead Sadhashiva Shenoy.
The tournament was slated to be organised in Bangalore but Sudeep convinced everyone to play in Davangere. Money raised from the event will be used to provide housing for artistes, Davanagere City Municipal Corporation member Dinesh K Shetty.
‘Housing for artistes’
The Kannada film industry has 452 dancers. However, they have no work for most part of the year. As many as 1,000 dancers will dance to the famous Rajkumar song ‘Huttidare kannada naadali hutta beku’ said Tickets will be available at the City Municipal Grounds, he added.
