Copter pilots booked for early landing

Police have lodged a complaint against the pilots of a helicopter who landed the copter ahead of schedule in Chittapur, in violation of the model code of conduct, on Tuesday morning.

Sources in the police department told DH that the BJP had obtained permission for the landing of the copter, with BJP candidate Malikayya Guttedar on board, in the town between 12 noon and 3 pm.

However, the pilot landed the copter in Chittapur at around 9 am. Following the landing, police rushed to spot and inquired about the people travelling. Except for pilots — Nityanand and Vinod - no politician or actor was present.

The incident occurred due to the 'carelessness' of the pilots, against whom FIR has been registered in the Chittapur police station.
