Revenue Minister R V Deshpande courted a controversy by throwing sports kits at sportspersons during the inauguration of the newly built indoor stadium at his home constituency Haliyal.
A video showing the minister has gone viral on social media. As per the schedule, Deshpande was to distribute the sports kits. He got angry as there was delay by the beneficiaries to come on the stage and threw the kits.
On August 20, a video showing PWD minister H D Revanna flinging biscuit packets at flood victims at a relief camp at Arkalgud in Hassan district had gone viral.
