Deve Gowda invites dissenting MLAs for talks

JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda on Thursday said that he had given an open invitation to dissenting party MLAs Zameer Ahmed Khan, Cheluvarayaswamy and H C Balakrishna, to talk out their differences.

“I have invited them to express their grouse against me. I am ready to correct myself if I am wrong. Should I go to their doorsteps, if they do not want to iron out the differences?” he asked.

Gowda said he was ready to discuss problems, if they have any, with Kumaraswamy. Letters were also dispatched to all leaders, including the trio, to attend the meeting scheduled for MLAs and MLCs on January 26. There was no response from them, he added.

Asked whether his grandson Prajwal Revanna would be the party’s youth wing president, Gowda said he would not get any office-bearer’s post. “I have told him quite frankly that nothing will be served on a platter ,” he said. On the Vokkaligara Bhavana becoming the headquarters of the JD(S), Gowda  said that he would not be going there. The party might take a place on rent or lease, he added.
