JOIN US201 win unopposed in Chikmagalur
The district has 216 Gram Panchayats and 2,080 seats. A total of 201 candidates have been elected unanimously in the district. No nominations were filed from Kallapura ward of Biluvala Gram Panchayat. According to caste wise nomination, in SC category, 1,460 candidates are in fray. This include 781 males and 679 women candidates.
In ST category, 406 candidates are in fray. This include 43 males and 363 women. In Backward A category—747 men and 684 women, Backward B category—485 men and 21 women. In general category, 1,523 men and 911 women.
Chikmagalur taluk has 49 gram panchayats with 499 seats. A total of 44 have been elected unanimously. As many as 1,380 candidates are in fray for 455 seats. While in Kadur taluk, 79 candidates have been elected unopposed, 1,524 candidates will contest for 538 seats. Tarikere taluk has 44 gram panchayats and 456 seats.
A total of 38 candidates have been elected unanimously. Accordingly, 1,310 candidates will contest for 418 seats. N R Pura has 14 Gram Panchayats with 152 seats. Only 8 have been elected unanimously. A total of 431 candidates are in fray to contest 152 seats.
Koppa has 188 seats in 20 gram panchayats. A total of 525 candidates are in fray as 8 candidates have been elected unanimously. Sringeri taluk has 9 Gram Panchayats with 86 seats. About 236 candidates are in fray. Five members have been elected unanimously. Mudigere taluk has 24 Gram Panchayats with 831 candidates in fray. A total of 19 members have been elected unanimously.
