50 underprivileged children taken on a picnic to Mysuru zoo

 Around 50 children from Chayadevi Orphanage visited Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, popularly known as Mysore Zoo, on a day trip recently. Courtesy, Apollo BGS Hospitals in Mysuru, which had organised the trip as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity.

According to a press release, the children, accompanied by Apollo staff and their family members that included children, enjoyed the day at the menagerie.

N G Bharateesh Reddy, senior general manager, operations and unit head, Apollo, who led the trip stated, “It gives us great pleasure to be able to contribute in whatever small way we can to the lives of these children. Such trips are organised to provide a break to children from their routines and in turn, we receive their invaluable affection.”

The day started with the trip to zoo and ended with a lunch, organised by Apollo Food and Beverage team members, at the orphanage. Basic needs, groceries and other items were also contributed by the staff members of Apollo to the orphanage.
