Adichunchanagiri Sringeri branch mutt seer Gunanatha Swamy has called upon the physically challenged people to take life as a challenge to scale greater heights.

He was speaking after inaugurating the four days’ artificial limb fixing camp organised jointly by the Lions, Lioness and Karnataka Marwady Youth Federation at the Lions Seva Bhavan here on Monday. “God is so gracious that all persons with disabilities were gifted with a special talent of their own. Disabled persons should identify their inner capacities and achieve success in life without listening to criticisms,” he added.

Swamy advised disabled persons not to lose faith in life. “Do not feel inferior to anyone and forget about your disabilities,” he added.

Tricycles, wheelchairs and other equipment were distributed to physically challenged and children with polio disabilities. Similarly, canes were distributed to children of Asha Kirana Blind School. About 15 doctors from Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Bangalore, participated in the camp, where more than 100 people availed the benefits.

Camp Organising Committee President Sanjay S Jain delivered keynote address.
