BJP to stage protest against corruption

Last Updated 13 October 2018, 11:33 IST

BJP taluk unit President Taluru A Kishor Kumar said that a huge protest will be staged by the BJP, in front of the Taluk Office on July 16 at 11 am, opposing the massive corruption in the Revenue Department.

Addressing reporters in Madikeri on Wednesday, he said that the Madikeri taluk Revenue Department has totally failed in solving the problems of the people. The applicants are made to wander from pillar to post, even for small works.

The people who come from rural areas for RTC corrections, khata transfer and survey work, are sent back to their places, by quoting lame excuses.

Stern measures should be initiated against such officials and staff. Applications towards student scholarships and income certificate are kept pending for years. The candidates are not able to avail loans at banks due to the lapses made by the revenue officials, he added.

Kishore Kumar said that there are a lot of middlemen in the government offices in Madikeri. The district administration has not taken any measures. Interference by middlemen is rampant in Tahsildar office and Assistant Commissioner’s office. No work is being done without bribes.

BJP City President Mahesh Jaini said that there are a lot of malpractices going on in the CMC. The needy are not provided with form 3 and other documents.

BJP district secretary Arun Kumar, leaders Prasanna, Prashanth and Dean Bopanna were present in the press meet.
