Chikkaballapur beautification to begin soon

Development works to gather full steam

He was speaking at the district-level officers’ meeting organised at the DC office and said in the current year the development work worth Rs 25 crore sanctioned by the Government will be taken with the start of ground breaking ceremony up very soon.

Under the water shed development scheme, the lake desiltation work will begin as the government has sanctioned Rs 30 crore.

In June under the Department of Youth Services and Sports,  a swimming pool and a Sthree Shakti bhavan will be developed at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore.

The foundation laying for underground drainage and Excise building at a cost of Rs 22 crore will be done, he said.

Already steps have been taken to establish Sir MV Technological Research University. For this 200 acres has already been sanctioned, he said.

Mini Vidhana Soudha

A mini Vidhana Soudha building will come up in the city at a cost of Rs seven crore. A fully equipped guest house at a cost of Rs one crore will be build. To improve the beauty of the city, various development works will be taken up, deputy commissioner said.

To bring up Chikkaballapur to the status of a district centre, thecity  will be illuminated and the  double roads with high mast lighting will be done.

Double road

The double road will run from Chadalupura bypass Road to the City centre till the bypass road end.

The National Highway organisation will build this road. This will add to the beauty of the district headquarters, Anwar Pasha said.

Bus stand

Suitable land for putting up the KSRTC bus stand, District-level hospital, library, district police building, Government Employees housing quarters is being looked into. The moment land becomes available, the work on these buildings will start, the officer  Anwar Pasha said.

Zilla pachayat Chief Executive Officer N Krishnappa, DySP Nanaiah, Conservator of Forests Rajashekar and others were present.
