CPI(M) members repair road

CPI(M) Kokkada unit members chose a unique way to thank voters for supporting them in GP elections. The winning candidates along with other party members carried out road repair works voluntarily, at Kokkada-Patrame by laying stone slabs.

The worn-out road was unfit for the movement of vehicles. Inaugurating the voluntary work, Belthangady taluk CPI(M) unit Secretary B M Bhat said that many pleas submitted towards the repair of the road, had gone unanswered.

The candidates supported by the party have won in both Gram Panchayats, Kokkada and Patrame. To celebrate the victory and to thank the people, the members of the party have repaired the road, he said.

Winning candidates Shyamaraj Patrame, Sheelavathi and Malathi said it was their duty to carry out social programmes.
