Nearly 96.04% of the differently-abled voters listed, have cast their votes in the assembly elections held on Saturday in Davanagere district.
This makes Davanagere district the topper among all others in the State where differently-abled voters have voted.
There were 15,409 differently-abled voters in the district, among whom, 14,800 have exercised their franchise on Saturday.
The District SVEEP committee and Election Commission of India had taken up many programmes to create poll awareness among voters. Hence, the turnout had been the maximum, said District Election Officer D S Ramesh.
