‘Diary issue joke of the year’

Reacting to state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa’s diary controversy, Shivamogga MP B Y Raghavendra has said that the issue related to his father Yeddyurappa’s marriage with Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Shobha Karandlaje in Kerala secretly and that he (Yeddyurappa) had paid kickbacks worth Rs 1,810 crore to the party’s central leaders are the jokes of the year.

Speaking at an interactive programme here on Saturday, he claimed that his father has no habit of writing a diary. People who know the handwriting of Yeddyurappa have done this to tarnish his and the party’s image, Raghavendra claimed.

He alleged that the Congress plotted 2009 diary issue. Do people put their signature at the end of every page in a personal diary? he questioned and said the party is contemplating to file a defamation case against the Congress.
