Govts failed to solve farmers' problems, alleges Deve Gowda

The farmers in the State are in agony. However, the State and the Union Governments failed to solve their problems, alleged JD(S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda.

He was speaking at a party meeting held at Byalawadi in Mundaragi taluk in Gadag district on Tuesday.

He said, the farmers are worried over pest menace. They are suffering loss. Hence, the governments should immediately disburse compensation to them, he urged.

Mr Deve Gowda who had arrived to visit the fields in the district for inspecting the crops, could not visit the fields due to rains. He just took a look at the crops standing beside roads. Some farmers who were waiting for his arrival, were disappointed.
