Rape attempt alleged
A complaint of attempt to rape a married woman is registered in the Rural Police Station on Saturday.
It is said that one Krishna attempted to rape a woman on the ground that her husband gave evidence in a murder case in Mattigunte village of the taluk.
Second marriage
A person who attempted to marry for the second time during the life time of the first wife is now cooling his heels behind bars. K Nagaraju, a mechanic, is the arrested.
Nagaraju had married Rukminamma on Sept 22, 1996 and the couple have two sons - Hemanthkumar (12) and Gagankumar (11).
He had submitted an application in the office of the sub-registrar on marrying another woman by name N Tulasidevi, on Nov 22. Upon coming to know of this, Rukminamma had lodged a complaint, police said.
Three injured
Three persons, including two children, were injured when a two-wheeler crashed into a private bus from behind in the outskirts of Mulbagal on Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred when Chandrashekar, a resident of Kamanur who was riding the two-wheeler, picked up the two children Santhosh and Muneendra near Guttahalli village.
A grievously injured Chandrashekar was admitted to Jalappa Hospital in Kolar, while the children sustained minor injuries. Mulbagal police have registered a case.
