JOIN USJDS State Working President and MLA B B Ningaiah has said that the party will field its candidates in all 28 constituencies in the State for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Meanwhile, he foretold that neither the BJP, nor the Congress will come to power but the third front will hold the power.
Addressing media persons in Chikmagalur on Sunday, he expressed the confidence of winning maximum seats in the State. Former Prime Minister and JDS National President H D Deve Gowda has been making efforts to strengthen the party. The people who have witnessed the 20 months of administration of H D Kumaraswamy during his tenure as the Chief Minster of Karnataka will support the candidates of JDS, he said.
JDS candidate will also be fielded in Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency and the selection of the candidate will be finalised at a meeting presided over by Party National President H D Deve Gowda, to be held on Monday. S L Bojegowda, Ashok Kumar, D R Raju have submitted their applications. The party will give a huge fight this time so that no one can look down upon us, he said.
BJP is projecting a single candidate. Media hype has been created on Narendra Modi. At the same time, the media reports iterate the fact that there are no major developments in Gujrath. Health services in Gujrath are poor. Farmers are not getting electricity but the industrialists are, he criticised.
He meanwhile urged the government to supply 12 hour three phase electricity to the Malnad region. Due to lack of rains, the agriculturists are not able to provide water to their farms through sprinklers. The government should not neglect coffee growers as one crore people are dependent upon the coffee business. Three-phase electricity should also be provided for 12 hours, towards the betterment of coffee growers, he urged.
