Now, you can take the road to meet 'Builders of Mysore'

As many as 19 portraits including that of Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, Piteelu Chowdaiah, Veene Seshanna, Dewan Sir Mirza Ismail, Sir M Visvesvaraya, Rashtrakavi Kuvempu, Dr Rajkumar, Dr Vishnuvardhan, Dr K S Ashwath and deity  Goddess Chamundeshwari, were unveiled.

 H D Kumaraswamy, MLA Tanveer Sait, H S Shankarlingegowda and ZP President Sunita Veerappagowda were brought to the venue in an open vehicle from Sri Ramabhyudhaya Sabha Charitable Trust, off Vinobha Road. The cultural troupes accompanied the procession.

Addressing the gathering, Kumaraswamy said they need to emulate the rulers, litterateurs, artists and administrators who made Mysore proud. Development was possible only by treading the path shown by them.

Recently, Mysore bagged the award as second best clean city in the country. In the coming days, Mysore should become numero uno. As it was the function of poor, he would not like to talk about politics, he added.

Mayor Sandesh Swamy, MLCs Sandesh Nagaraj and Chikkamadu, Shankarlingegowda and area councillor, M J Ravikumar prevailed on Kumaraswamy not to retire from active politics.
Noted historian, Prof P V Nanjaraja Urs also spoke.

Deputy Mayor Pushlapatha Jagannath, City JD(S) President Koppal Rajanna, councillors, K T Chaluvegowda, K V Mallesh, R Lingappa, former MLA,S Balaraj and others were present. On this occasion, the former CM distributed sewing machine and sarees to women.
